I'm looking forward to having 52 faces from each of my silly bears to watch their growth through 2012!

Abbey decided to talk while I took pictures. *sigh*
She was easier to photograph before she learned how to use a full sentence.
Joseph, enjoying the swing at the park.

I have been fooling around with my camera in manual mode, following the tutorials in the Move to Manual series. . . but obviously I still have a lot to learn. I'm thinking that I was letting in too much light in the photo of Joe because he looks washed out. . . and I'm not sure how to avoid having the shadow on Abbey's face except for placing myself at a different angle from her/the sun. . . but - I'm learning! I find it difficult to see if I've got my settings right when I'm outside, because I snap a few pictures, run to the shade so I can view them, and still can't really see what I've gotten and if it's good or not.
Anyway. . . more photography saga later. I really need to post this, link up with the other fab bloggers participating in Courtney's 52 Faces challenge, and then get to my sewing projects! I'm hoping to finish a diaper, grade a dress pattern, and cut fabric for a wet-bag tonight. Ambitious, I know!

What cuties!! I think the shadows you are getting are because you're in the open sunlight. It's REALLY hard to get a good shot in the open like that. Try moving those cute little kiddos over the shade. :)
ReplyDeleteOK. . . thanks, Courtney!!!!
